As growing numbers of consumers question where their food comes from, farmers are responding by opening the doors to their operations through blogs, tweets and other forms of social media.
To encourage even more dialogue between those who grow food and those who consume food, the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance is hosting The Food Dialogues, an online discussion about all things food-related. The entire event will stream live online from 12 p.m. EDT through 5:00 p.m. EDT (September 22nd).
The Food Dialogues will include four panel discussions about how food is grown and raised, providing opportunities for farmers, ranchers and the general public to register to watch and participate in the discussion online via Facebook and USFRA’s new website www.fooddialogues.com.
As ag marketers, we can benefit from taking part in this dialogue by garnering insights into how farmers wish their story would be told and what consumers most want to know from farmers. Check out The Food Dialogues and let us know what you learned.
